altered C20 and converted to shop.
Grade II listed
In 1845 Thomas Randall was a butcher and farmer here. He also owned other properties in the town but not this one. He died in 1861.
During renovations carried out in the 1960s,70s this range was found in the cellar.
Nothing else has yet been found about this building until modern times.

A handwritten plan of the town made about 1986 suggests that The Deresett Company for stationery was here but in 1983/4 they were known to have been in Plowright Place.
Perhaps the map is later or earlier?
Or maybe the company moved?
In 1988 The Trading Post opened here.
Not only was it a fashion boutique but also sold fashion shoes, riding wear, knitwear and children’s clothes. It was in place until at least 1999.
At some time before 2009 Harmony Kitchens and Bathrooms had a showroom here. They also had a shop on Plowright Place to which they reverted some years later. The Big C shop opened in 2017.
